Serve on the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Consequence Management Advisory Division (CBRN CMAD) of the Office of Emergency Management Planning & Implementation Branch. CBRN CMAD is a Emergency Response Special Team within US EPA. Provide National technical policy and procedural expertise for emergency response and preparedness programs. Compile and analyze data from field operations for use in evaluating and revising program policy and procedures.Provide expert policy, technical guidance in CBRN responses, ranging from applicable regulatory authorities; Incident Command System (ICS) structures.Provide subject matter expertise to CBRN agent specific contaminants of concern. Develop applicable CBRN agent specific framework and guidance deliverables to assist emergency response officials involved with these complex contaminant scenarios. Ensure that resources are effectively and appropriately utilized to produce results meet the Agency goals.Provide technical oversight and assistance to On-Scene Coordinators and other emergency response support officials within the 10 US EPA Regions. Perform in close coordination with senior leadership the procurement and distribution of personal protective equipment to support comprehensive US COVID-19 pandemic relief efforts. Represent the CBRN CMAD on inter-agency and intra-agency workgroups; boards; task forces related to program policies; exercise development and execution; and participate in outreach efforts to educate and present progress at national meetings and conferences to internal and external customers.

Assists the Director of EPA's CBRN CMAD, in support of CMAD missions to prepare and support the response community for CBRN incidents by providing technical and operational expertise, response services, and deployable assets to better protect human health and the environment from CBRN impacts. Collaborate with other office deputy directors in support of resource, policy, logistical, and technical discussions which influence CMAD operations. Assist and lead the Division with developing and executing its strategic plan and its alignment with OLEM and EPA strategic visions. Assists the Division Director in carrying out the following responsibilities: • Formulate, execute, and continuously monitor the Division’s operations plan • Participate in weekly OEM deputies’ meetings • Collaborate with other EPA offices in the development and updating of communication products • Finalize the Division’s strategic plan • Organize division staff meetings and communicate updates on resources/policies/logistical discussions occurring within the office and agency • Support division staff with on-boarding and off-boarding logistics • Communicate with and present technical information relating to the Division's mission to government officials or the public in an understandable way • Provide technical advice to senior officials and policy makers on controversial, precedent-setting situations involving the Division's mission • Coordinate with OLEM regarding CMAD’s information technology needs, services, and work to resolve associated issues. • Perform other duties as assigned.
