A Past-President (2016-17) of the British Computer Society (the UK’s Chartered Institute for IT), Past-Master (2019-20) of the Information Technologists’ City of London Livery Company, graduate of the Government’s Major Projects Leadership Academy, Cabinet Office High-Risk Review Team Leader, Civil Service Fast-Stream Assessor and Council Member of Gresham College (London’s oldest Higher Education Institution), Ray now runs his own company, Ray Long Consulting Limited, and enjoys a portfolio career based around short-term consultancy, non-executive, teaching and voluntary work. He holds a number of associate positions and has extensive experience as a professional educator, having been an Associate Lecturer with the Open University since 1993, presenting courses on leadership, strategy, finance, marketing, project management and technological innovation.
