After 34 years with Explorer Pipeline I retired to follow a dream I have had all my life to become a Professional Treasure Hunter. It has been a hobby since I was 10 or so. I currently have several different leads I am planning on pursuing. Hope to become the next Mel Fisher, if not I am going to have a lot of fun doing it. My wife Robin is the President/CEO and I am on the Operation side of it. We make a pretty good team. I wish nothing but the best for Explorer and will miss many lifetime friends I made along the way. I Will also miss all my peeps on the API Public Awareness Group. Great people I got to learn from but more importantly became friends with. The impact they have had on pipeline safety across the country has been immeasurable.Sincerely,Ray MatlockI managed Damage Prevention/Public Awareness and Right of Way maintenance activities along 1836 miles of ROW. These activities include aerial patrol, ROW clearing and marking, erosion control,river crossing and waterway inspection, encroachment removal, span and exposure repair and monitoring. I work with contractors and engineers from varying fields on a daily basis. I run single year projects as well as multi-year projects. Project costs usually range from $25,000 to $1,500,000 + dollars. I work with field employees and landowners in resolving ROW issues.
