As a Research Assistant for Professor Peter Phillips, I worked with a small group of students in the research of private security, military, and mercenary companies. Our research focused on major companies such as Blackwater, Triple Canopy, DynCorp, Aegis and Constellis Holdings, and how these companies have contributed to the growing industry of private militarization around the world. Our findings will be published in the 2015 edition of Project Censored.

As a Teaching Assistant for Professor Cindy Stearns, I was responsible for numerous responsibilities in and out of the classroom, including attendance, grading, research, and scheduling. I also created a database of past and present internships held by Sociology students, which can be utilized by professors within the department in the future.
