The Development Platforms team design and deliver FPGA and silicon based platforms to be used across the the company for the development, verification, debug and demonstration of Imagination IP cores. As Engineer 2 I was heavily involved in the entire life-cycle of the platforms, manging the development, deployment and maintenace of in house deisnged and 3rd party PCBs, FPGAs, Software and lab/data centre.- Accountable for tracking of machine uptimes, usage, temps, os versions and other ancillary information to ensure a high threshold for system integrity. As well setting up monitoring and triggers for specific events.- Used Design Spark Mechanical and FDM printer to design and manufacture solutions for platform harnesses for both internal and external clients. Contributed heavily to the entire design process as a mechanical consultant to solve issues without sacrificing design or functionality.- Cooperated with e4xisting team members to better spread the work load of maintenance/development of automation script (Python/Bash).- Provided Training and day to day management for multiple collages.- System admin for Linux/windows/Android testing equipment, supporting multiple departments project requirmentsvia ticketting system and adhoc requests.- Heavily involved in the deployment and delivery of bespoke multi core FPGA systems for global clients. Consulted with the customer as part of support contract to resolve issues remotely.- Fault finding and reworking PCB components on bespoke and 3rd party PCBs consulting electrical schematics where provided. - Managed Lab, setting up after relocation, maintaining lab equipment, ESD standards and general equipment stock and quality.- Expanded on board bring up and took ownership of documentation, creating an online digital repository, gallery and glossary for all equipment, techniques and debugging procedures.
