 Responsible for the overall engineering and construction management of renewable energy projects. Duties include effective project planning and critical risk assessment, optimizing construction budgets, managing the engineering, civil and electrical construction contracts, and ensuring that projects are completed on time in accordance with the milestone schedule and within the capital budget. Currently involved in the design and construction of two 150 MW Solar farms in Oregon and Washington and a 100MW wind farm in Illinois. Recently completed a 308 MW wind farm project in south Texas.o The Karankawa Wind LLC Project is a 308 MW facility located in Bee County and San Patricio County, Texas consisting of 22 GE 116 2.3 MW wind turbine-generators (“turbines”), 9 GE 116 2.5 MW turbines and 93 GE 127 2.52 MW turbines and associated BOP equipment. The project is interconnected to PSCo (Public Service Company of Oklahoma) via its new Goddard Substation. Construction began in October 2018 and achieved COD in December 2019.

 Established a new company to offer supplemental education services for K thru 12 students and adults including reading, writing, math, spelling, phonics, study skills, state testing prep, and one-to-one SAT and ACT college entrance exam prep.

Provided business development and project management services for three independent companies that were providing maintenance services and replacement parts for gas and steam turbine power plants.

 Launched a new subsidiary company, Turbine Fleet Management, LLC, to provide Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) for gas turbine power plants. Scope of supply included gas and steam turbine maintenance services, hot section parts repair and replacement, and turbine parts life history tracking and reporting.  Provided project management and O&M support for new and existing fossil fuel power plant projects including new plant design review, commissioning and O&M activities and the development of long term parts & repair strategies. Worked directly with the plant management teams at several Duke Energy simple-cycle and combined-cycle plants to implement strategies for reducing power plant maintenance costs and improving long-term profitability. Provided due diligence reviews and engineering support for gas and oil-fired power plants in South America, Australia and Turkey for Duke Energy International.

 Launched the Combustion Turbine & Combined Cycle Users Organization (CTC2), an international forum for carrying out collaborative R&D or O&M projects for natural gas or oil-fired combustion turbine power plants. Managed a broad range of collaborative R&D projects for both EPRI and non-EPRI clients from the initial conception of project scope, project funding and technical support through project completion.

 Directed the activities of the Production Division including four separate power plants, the power control center, the electronics/communications department and the division projects department.  Managed all capital projects for the Production Division including the construction of an on-site warehouse and maintenance facility and new barracks and dining hall, and the installation of new gas turbine exhaust systems, inlet filtration systems and water treatment system at the remote Beluga Power Station as well as other smaller projects for Chugach’s other generating stations. Served as Plant Engineer for the commissioning of Chugach’s first combined cycle project.
