As the Chief Engineer on the project, I was the final technical authority for the project and was was the primary technical point of contact for the customer. The DCGS-A program integrated multiple battlefield intel systems into one integrated system. As the technical lead for the geospatial team, I was responsible for overseeing 25+ system engineers, software developers, integrators, and testers. I was in charge of scheduling, estimating, software development standards, requirements analysis and design of the overall software system for a program of over $15M/year.Chief Engineer for the Combat Terrain Information Systems (CTIS) Program (1998 - 2004) The CTIS program developed 6 different combat ready GIS systems for the US Army. As the Chief Engineer, I was responsible for overseeing 20+ software developers, integrators and testers. My responsibilities included scheduling, estimating, software development standards, requirements analysis and design of the overall software system for a program of $10M+/year. I was the main customer interface for the software development tasks. The software development included Unix and Windows, C++, Visual Basic, JavaScript, HTML and other languages.
