I was under contract to implement the takeover of logistical services from Vitec's current third party logistics company (3PL) and replace it with the services provided by Key Logistics. Key Logistics is a joint partnership between Atlanta Regional Distribution (ARD) and United Transportation Int'l (UTI).This project consisted of 25+ dedicated long distance routes, numerous LTL points, several multi-stop combination pickups and local area milkruns.The need to bolster inventory levels while at first deemed a necessity by the customer was early on nullified due to the confidence gained in the expertise and competence of my leadership. The entire logistical needs of Vitec were converted to Key Logistics 3PL services without any manufacturing interruptions or part shortages from the beginning of the takeover to the end of the 3 month period the project lasted.

Responsible for material purchasing, shipping/receiving and inventory control areas of a Third Party Logistics operation supplying sequenced and RAN automotive parts to the Mercedes Vance Alabama assembly plant. • Reduced on hand inventory levels from an average of 7 day's supply per customer to between 1-1/2 and 3 day's supply depending on transportation time required. This had wide ranging implications for the company. The increase in available floor space enabled the procurement of additional business. This also allowed for a headcount reduction in the shipping and receiving department by minimizing the number of moves required throughout the day and also in Inventory Control personnel through the reduction of resources required to maintain the programs.• Redesigned the manner in which inventory was tracked through the use of Excel spreadsheets based on a red, yellow and green (RYG) visual alert system making it easier for the inventory analyst to monitor critical needs and prevent material shortages by alerting them to a potential part shortage in time to obtain the needed material prior to any negative impact on the production lines.• Earned APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification in 2008.• Negotiated favorable discounts with vendors that significantly improved buying power and lowered operational costs.

Scheduled all manufacturing and assembly requirements for a three shift plastic injection molding operation which consisted of over 6,000 SKU's/items. Maintained inventories of sequenced, RAN, stock and service parts for 1st and 2nd tier automotive suppliers such as Johnson Controls Incorporated, Hyundai Motors USA, General Motors Corporation and Nissan USA.• Implemented a molding tool rotation system covering over 300 plastic injection molds running
