Re-launched fully-insured health insurance company in Northwest Minnesota. Gained significant small group sales in short period of time with two producers working through independent brokers.

Successfully responsible for developing and negotiating new and retaining current group contracts with businesses and organizations in Eastern North Dakota. In 10 years, brought in more contracts than any other sales consultant within the organization while retaining nearly 100% of existing group contracts. Awarded Distinguished Achievement Awards for sales and retention excellence in health insurance and subsidiary products while exceeding company sales and retention goals year after year. Wrote newsletter that was sent to over 28 independent selling agents and to over 510 businesses that have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance keeping them up to date on market trends, legislation, benefit ideas and industry facts. Gave effective presentations to boards of directors, union negotiators, business leaders and groups of employees. On a daily basis worked with account teams, consultants, actuarial, and underwriting teams to seamlessly deliver benefits and deviations required by large groups. Collaborated with independent agents and brokers in the sale of new business and renewal presentations of existing group business.

In three weeks, increased lead production by 53%, from 112 to 212 in the telemarketing division. Hired and trained over 60 telemarketers and nine sales representatives. Attained the highest sales closing ratio in the company at 82%. Hold the record for the largest commission check ever received. Test-marketed two of the three corporate regions and reported conclusions and recommendations on the concept of selling by telephone.
