My family raises Red and Black Angus, which produces excellent eating quality beef that is tender and well marbled. Our herd of just over 200 cattle is bred to produce the finest quality younger stock Angus beef available. Our naturally raised beef comes only from animals born and raised on Spear Ranch, which is located in the foothills of the Baraboo Bluffs near Devils Lake State Park, Wisconsin. When you buy Spear Ranch Beef you can be confident you’re getting some of the safest meat you can buy. Our Red and Black Angus are pastured over a couple hundred acres of open range grasslands and then marble finished with grains that are planted and harvested on our farm. Your beef harvest is then custom processed locally, where it is dry-aged and vacuum flavor sealed for maximum quality.Spear Ranch Red and Black Angus beef is a much better product than anything you can get with purchasing beef from the grocery store or local meat market. No antibiotics, growth-promoting hormones, steroids or animal by-products are fed to our animals, which is not the case with the majority of the beef on the market. Also, the flavor of our beef is outstanding due to the way we raise the beef and the dry-aging process that our butcher incorporates. We also take great pride in caring for our animals and raising them in a humane manner.
