Worked for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS), in the Center for Health Care Evaluation (CHCE), Health Services Research and Development (HSR&D), Research Service, and the Program Evaluation and Resource Center (PERC) at the Menlo Park Division (MPD). CHCE coordinates system-wide health services research programs, conducts single-and multi-center research projects, and serves as a national resource for scientific and technical expertise on substance use disorder and psychiatric research and program evaluation projects. PERC's mission is to use evaluation science to promote more effective and cost-effective care for veterans with substance use disorders.

Develop and support advanced analytics/technology tools for data mining and statistical modeling. Serve as a company-wide statistical consultant using statistical process control, experimental design, machine learning, and data mining for improving reliability, quality, profitability, and business performance. Develop software tool for mining the time-series interesting features in large production and marketing databases. Lead company-wide epidemiological studies about repetitive stress injury to identify causes and develop a plan to reduce injury rates. Consult on AIDS epidemiological study in African operating regions to insure continuous operation.

Develop and support data warehouse, mining, machine learning and statistical modeling for new drug discovery and cheminformatics research in various therapeutic areas. Supervise global database management and clinical data validation teams to support biostatistical analysis in all therapeutic areas. Supervise clinical programming team for safety data reporting and biostatistical analysis. Develop statistical procedures for analyzing high throughput screening to guide new compound screening strategy. Develop and support advanced statistical methodologies for automatic assay optimization, dose response modeling, safety reporting and analysis, and non-clinical experimental design and data analysis.
