 Defined conceptual data models for Enterprise Government of Canada metadata standards (records, documents, content, correspondence, and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) using Visio Pro. Created a Strategic Roadmap presentation demonstrating the key relationships between metadata and ECM. Participated in establishing DIMES information management priorities with DIMES management. Participated as the Information & Data Architect on the ECM SOA Architecture Project (8 Members) devised to define a roadmap towards interoperability of DIMES products, namely, RDIMS (document and records management re: Hummingbird RM, DM), Web Content Management (Interwoven Team Site, Open Deploy, and Metatagger), and Oracle Unified Portal Solution10g (UPSS).  Organized and Coordinated Multiple Department Working Group for definition of master data management framework and requirements for managing controlled vocabularies. Participated in Metadata Standards Working groups for Content Management (25 members) and overall Government of Canada (40 members). These groups had representatives from most Government of Canada departments and existed to set direction impacting information management across government with a vision of “One Government”.

 Represented CIDA on the interdepartmental Government of Canada (GoC) CMS shared systems initiative functional working group, CMS metadata working group, the GoC Records Management working group and GoC Metadata Working group  Prepared and delivered the systems architecture showing alliances between CIDA’s information management program, industry and the GoC. The architecture outlines the integration of enterprise level document and records management, content management, metadata and controlled vocabulary management and search. Prepared and delivered the enterprise document and records management rollout strategy to stakeholders. Prepared and delivered the legacy files migration strategy. Prepared and delivered the Documents, Records, and Web Content Metadata Standards for information resources captured at CIDA.  Designed, documented and delivered Enterprise Master Data Management Architecture. Defined the central schema (metadata repository, data dictionary) for managing the controlled vocabularies as well as the business processes, rules and quality assurance requirements for use, update and version control.  Worked with the Hummingbird DM database on Oracle, and the IRIMS databases on SQL Server. Responsible for analyzing CIDA’s information management practices, information holdings, business processes, standards and information architecture. Prepared and delivered a presentation called “The High Cost of Not Finding Information” for senior CIDA management. Prepared a business case for project funding called “Business Case for Information Architecture, Taxonomy, Metadata Management and Search”. Prepared a business case for CIDA’s participation in the GoC shared CMS Initiative. This document secured funding for participating in the GoC initiative and additional funding to study the impact on CIDA.
