 Specifically recruited and was successful in improving daily shop operations, coworker morale and boosting customer retention. Team lead technician with duties including the management of 3 to 6 lower level technicians, dispatching of repair orders, completing a weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy in tech notes and punch times on repair orders, and working with upper level management to assess the performance of other technicians. Responsible for performing all walks of service, repair, diagnosis and state safety and emissions inspections. Relation duties including correspondence with service advisors, Mazda technical services, insurance adjusters and warranty inspectors. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing both intermittent and difficult to diagnose drivability issues as well as test driving vehicles with customers to identify concerns. Aid service advisors and new cars sales staff by speaking with customers about complicated repairs, as well as explaining the normal operation of vehicles.

 Instruct automotive classes ranging from basic automotive theory to advanced engine performance diagnosis. Responsible for creating and administering the class curriculum, syllabus, and grading scale.  Taught a combination of both working adults seeking certification and high school students earning college credits through a combination of hands on and classroom instruction. Worked as a team with other instructors and department heads to perform an assessment process for student knowledge both before and after program completion. Independently worked to form an inventory and organize all shop tools and supplies.
