The supervisory management of production personnel providing leadership, managing teams and supporting the plant to deliver it's vision and strategy. I am directly responsible for the sections output and efficiency and achieve this by using Continuous Improvement (KAIZEN) techniques as well as other LEAN methods like 5S, SMED and Plan, Do, Check, Act to help deliver the Quality, Cost and Delivery for the business. I am also responsible for the Health and Safety of my people and carry out Risk Assessments, collate accident and near miss reports and support the Health and Safety team to ensure the H&S objectives are met. • Worked closely with over 150 junior and middle managers to ensure they met their health and safety obligations and statutory requirements. • Planned and prioritised activities across a team 15 engineers to ensure the clear deliverables were met with designated timescales. • Focussed on performance management through rounded management and leadership across a team of 15 engineers and supported the wider region to ensure consistency across the teams.• Spent on average 3 days per week in the field to support the engineers with the team carrying out a visit to identify coaching/capability/engagement opportunities and to act of them - including safety, quality, customer interaction and behaviour.• Spent time to understand individual and team performance to support delivering excellence for the customer.• Set objectives for the team members and regularly carried out development reviews to get the most out of them and help them be successful in the role.• Involved in the DSO project which as part of the Analogue to Digital switchover - part of the government scheme to support eligible people to switch to digital/Sky for free. • Co-ordinated and delivered the training for over 60 engineers prior to the DSO scheme going live - including doing background checks and relevant ID, training and support • Ensured a smooth completion of 300+ jobs once the DSO scheme was operational over a 12 month period.• Successfully improved the Key Performance Indicators across the team year on year.• Supported the induction of over 50 engineers across a 4 year period.• Worked closely with the departments Health and Safety Advisor to support the use of the incident reporting system and produced an easy to follow document to help others understand the system.• Successfully completed a CMI Diploma in Management as part of the Sky Leaders Programme.
