About Ray Allison
My specialty is Landlord/Tenant representation when you need new office, industrial or retail space. Ray began his legendary real estate career in the early 1980s – buying, selling, and managing property with his family and some friends. Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Ray grew up in the Bahamas and arrived in Houston after graduating from prestigious Texas A&M University. Through the years he has worked in all facets of commercial and residential real estate. In the early 1990s he opened his namesake, Ray Allison, Realtors® in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas. In 2003, Ray joined forces with a longtime good friend, Mike Spear, another highly successful Houston Realtor®. Together they established AllisonSpear.com, Realtors® on Kirby Drive in the River Oaks area of Houston, which was bought out by Prudential Gary Greene Realtors® in the mid 2000s. After managing the Inner Loop office for several years, in late 2000s, the Partners of Gary Greene ask Ray to head up their new Commercial Real Estate Division which he has done until recently. 2024 has seen Ray return to where it all started in real estate, his namesake Ray Allison Realtors. Ray enjoys commercial landlord and tenant representation work and has relocated most of the 20+ Gary Greene offices. He is also involved in direct sales, and the managing a brokerage firm - a couple of offices with 100+ agents. He can assist with all facets of commercial real estate and even with a referral to the perfect residential agent. Ray is personable, humorous, and approachable. And his enthusiasm, dedication and integrity are invaluable assets in his work. Additionally, Ray has been very active in supporting numerous community charitable endeavors and sponsoring numerous athletic events in Houston. He has been Board Chair of the Downtown YMCA and President of the Plumeria Society of America. In his private time, he enjoys cooking, is an active gardener, runs and bikes on the bayou, and driving his several antique vehicles. CurrentPrudential Real Estate Affiliates sold all of its operations to Brookfield Commercial Real Estate in late 2011 and will be retiring the name Prudential from Real Estate Brokerage over the next few years. As such Gary Greene went thru a name change and as of July 2012 is now associated with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate for the residential side of the business. The commercial side of our Business is Gary Greene Commercial Properties.
