Back at the age of 22 I hit bottom rock.I got kicked out of university, I abandoned a startup project in advertisement and I let away a profitable position in Congo as operations manager.I left West Africa and came back to France with an eagerness to learn about shipping, my childhood dream, with my motivation and determination as my only degree. After a short intern at Traxens, I found my way recklessly to CMA CGM head office. Shortly, I was appointed to manage long stay full containers for a wide and complex area. While having a full-time job I needed to take a BA degree to clear my past record. I could rely on my managers' support granting me flexible planning. I rethought my lifestyle as days turned into deadlines and milestones. I was fueled by the idea that this is my last chance and failure is not an option. I dug into my mental strength to work efficiently under pressure and persevere no matter what. By the end of the year, I had my bachelor’s degree with honors and doubled my annual goal.While clearing thousands of idle containers I was thrilled by the potential impact of smart containers. What if containers can tell me what went wrong, Traxens pioneering ideas then made a lot of sense. I understood that the lack of visibility and traceability in the global supply chain is the core challenge. I had to know more about both of them. I literally made a double application to join Traxens and applied for a master’s degree in International Supply Chain. Both applications were accepted and a year later I successfully defended my thesis on the impact of smart containers on the supply chain and consolidate my position at Traxens. I went through ups and downs of start-up lifestyle and had the chance to embrace simultaneously three roles. A hunter, I managed sales for Traxens in Asia by leading commercial agents network promoting IoT and digital tools for Smart Reefer usage at a C-level. A farmer, I was following on a day-to-day basis IoT deployments. My close relationships with my partners enabled me to cope smoothly with operational issues and solution implementation frictions. A solution expert, backed by my shipping knowledge and users’ feedback I participated in product improvements and new features. Today, I would like to pursue my passion for delivering solutions that impact partners’ daily tasks and ease their challenges. I truly find pleasure in supporting partners through their change processes and making their life easier. I am willing to share my experiences, embrace their needs in a transparent and fun way!
