Working in a customer oriented industry revolves around establishing & nurturing relationships with our clientele. Working and communicating with customers from different social and economic backgrounds on a daily basis made me an expert in multitasking, balancing building client relationships all the while performing the technical banking operations aspect of the job. My fluency in Arabic, English and French came to the forefront of my position at BLOM Bank as I perfectly communicate with local and international clients. My patience, openness, compassion, and emotional intelligence proved to be key in dealing and communicating with exacerbated clientele as I coin practical solutions to frustrated clients while thinking out of the box for optimal services.

Within my position I quickly unveiled gaps in the ledgers, detected financial patterns and investigated inaccuracies with my managers and our international partners (UNICEF & The EU)I mainly analyzed project activities, needs, requirements and costs to grind and present the financial and budgeting groundwork. I managed the data entry & audit discrepancies of 7 UNICEF, EU, & Milano-funded Projects as I reduced errors in invoicing, service agreements, BOQs and payroll calculations. I also audited project managers’ payment book registration by scrutinizing supporting documents attached to payment requests and verifying that project allocations matched the donor’s budget annex.Returning requests backed by unofficial invoices, unclear contracts & agreements, miscalculated time sheets, and/or quotations & tender offers allowed me to interact with field coordinators and logistics officers to ensure transparency of payments and thus boost project compliance and meet tight liquidation deadlines. I also proved I was a fast learner as I was given the responsibility of training and mentoring 2 junior accountants on regulations for data entry and conformity to operational guidelines and procedures.
