Managed the Subcommittee Chairman’s initiatives and briefed him regularly on full committee issues.Organized oversight hearings/investigations on Department of Interior, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, EPA, Mineral Management Services and other Executive Branch agencies, directing these efforts from concept to execution.

Assisted in the planning, coordination, and execution of congressional committee hearings, including reviewing planned testimony and other pertinent literature to help prepare the Chairman.

Developed and implemented “Healthy Choices” Program using cost/benefit analysis to promote better nutrition via House cafeterias and to compliment Gold’s Gym membership opportunities. This program reduced overall employee health expenditures (i.e. insurance premiums) for the taxpayers.
