Ray is a licensed Architect in the state of Oregon with experience in a broad range of project types including mixed use urban infill, multi-family residential, higher education, high-performance workplaces, historic preservation projects, seismic upgrade projects, civic buildings, and urban planning. He is an architecture Graduate from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and studied architecture and urban design in Copenhagen, Denmark. Underlying all of his work is an attention to sustainable design whether it is working on bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, discovering opportunities for urban agriculture, or simply applying his knowledge of natural building techniques such as earthen plaster.Specialties: Practical experience ranges from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration, LEED documentation, daylighting and shading analysis, basic structural engineering, and construction/deconstruction.
