Now that I have transitioned out of Active Duty I am now currently in the Naval Reserve. With my transition from Active Duty it was required to convert to a Gunner's Mate from my previous Fire Controlman position. I now drill in Hialeah which is inside of Miami, FL. I am soon to start completing Annual Trainings in different parts of the country. I hope to continue to utilize my weapons experience for a Force Protection or Security postion inside of the Reserves.

As a CIWS Technician I was responsible for the upkeep, repair, firing and performance of the weapon at all times. This job involved electronics, radars, pneumatics, circuitry, ammunition, and cooling components involved with the 20MM gun.As a Small Arms Instructor it was my job to maintain, repair, fire, and instruct the firing of the M500 shotgun, M16 rifle, M4 rifle, M14 rifle, and 9MM pistol. Also, the SAMI position onboard required constant training of multiple personnel to achieve atleast the minimum passing score, which would allow these personnel to carry these weapons onboard the ship.
