The Styrene Information and Research Center (SIRC) represents the manufacturers and users of the chemicals styrene and ethylbenzene on public policy issues related to styrene and ethylbenzene; coordinates the industry’s health and environmental research programs; and provides communications resources on styrene for both the public and industry. SIRC’s 30-year mission has been the advancement of research on styrene health and environmental effects, to understand the safety of styrene, ethylbenzene and styrenics products; the dissemination of that information to regulators, industry, and the public; and advocating for the fair assessment and regulation of styrene.
