VECTRA Technologies was a $125 million publicly traded company (NASDAQ: VCTR) providing professional services and specialized engineered products to the industrial and energy markets worldwide, including the US Departments of Energy and Defense. The Company’s businesses included engineering consulting and design services, radioactive waste management and packaging systems, chemical cleaning systems, hazardous waste packaging and shipping, and dry storage systems for spent nuclear fuel. The Company was recognized worldwide for its engineering analysis capabilities, specifically in seismic analysis of nuclear power plants. Its spent nuclear fuel technology is still the leading system in use in the United States. The Company had operations and licensees in the North America, England, France, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

As General Manager of the Power Services and Nuclear Power Group, I was responsible for CE's worldwide engineering services business to the power industry and also responsible for its worldwide Nuclear Power businesses. I was an elected officer of the Company, with responsibility for approximately 33% of the company's total revenues and earnings. Combustion Engineering (C-E) was an American engineering firm and leading firm in the development of power systems in the United States with approximately 30,000 employees in about a dozen states at its peak. Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, C-E owned over two dozen other companies including Lummus Crest. Former workers have gone on to hold leadership positions in major engineering firms and governments around the world. The company was acquired by Asea Brown Boveri in the early 1990s. The boiler and fossil fuel businesses were purchased by ALSTOM in 2000, and the nuclear business was purchased by Westinghouse Electric Company also in 2000.

Impell Corporation was the premier nuclear engineering services company in the nuclear industry. In 1984 Impell was acquired by Combustion Engineering and operated as a wholly owned subsidiary. As President of Impell Corporation, I was responsible for the overall performance and successfully grew the company from $75M to $125M in two years while integrating its services into CE's worldwide nuclear business.

Joined as a Senior Engineer in Nuclear Systems Division. Later promoted to Director of Business Development, then Vice President & General Manager of Western Region and then Senior Vice President of Engineering Services. Impell was the premier nuclear engineering services company in the industry.

Served on the USS Permit, SSN-594, homeported in Hawaii and later as an Instructor at A1W prototype in Idaho.
