Discovered a new fluid flow pattern inside a drainpipe during water draining from a stationary tank. Used ANSYS Fluent to model plughole vortex computationally and verified with experimental investigations.Designed and developed experimental setup for the plughole vortex experiment equipped with level sensors and high speed imaging facility.Used Photron high speed camera @5000 – 10000 fps for flow visualization inside the drain pipe.Used Labview data acquisition system for level sensor data reading and storing.Published journal papers and presented conference papers based on the research outcome.

Prepared diesel engine based power plants site layout, process flow lines, and utility lines. Reviewed all the mechanical engineering drawings of piping and layout designs.Designed large oil storage tanks for the power plant projects and reduced the design cost by almost 40%. Supervised the installation team to set up power plant equipment’s and machineries including but not limited to compressors, boilers, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic lines, cooling tower and water treatment unit.Reduced the installation time by making subgroups for parallel installation. Worked as a team member in commissioning group.Used AutoCAD 2D to create design layouts for mechanical equipment, piping systems, and revamped projects. Modelled a two-phase passive cooling system for miniaturized electronic device cooling.Developed an experimental setup for testing Thermoloop heat transfer device.Conducted experiments on two-phase heat transfer system to understand its performance and reliability.
