-Led a diverse and highly competent workforce of 100 Japanese Nationals, two US Civil Service employees, Navy Lieutenant (0-3), Navy Chief Petty Officer (E-7), and seven Navy Petty Officers (E-4 to E-6) in providing outstanding physical distribution services to customers in Japan.-Worked closely with internal DDYJ divisions and external partners such as the Fleet Industrial Supply Center, Navy Overseas Air Cargo Terminal, 730th Air Mobility Squadron, 836th Trans Battalion, and commercial activities to promote communication and effective working relationships to support the warfighter.-Key member of a working group that assessed the feasibility of DDYJ establishing a Theater Consolidation and Shipping Point (TCSP); provided data analysis that cut through a large quantity of data providing a summary used by the working group to make informed decisions based on the data.-Directed freight operations that deliver physical distribution services to over 70 Navy afloat units and 100 DoD ashore commands and activities throughout the Western Pacific and Arabian Gulf area locations; supports various exercises delivering cargo to austere environments with little or no US military infrastructure.

Established a container pool at a contractor location resulting is faster throughput by 4 days. Pioneered customs processes for the movement of cargo originating in Turkey and Italy destined for the troop build-up in Afghanistan; one of the first shippers to move cargo over the Northern Distribution Network (NDN).-Used broad knowledge of logistics--transportation, supply, distribution, and storage operations to participate on a depot logistics planning team evaluating the depot's ability to execute the Army's European theater excess class IX (serviceable retrograde) operations--the depot was trusted with the program with approx 17 personnel vice the previous 200+ personnel.-Used knowledge of various logistics information systems and the Microsoft Office programs to create useful automated tools to streamline daily tasks; improved efficiency and reduced errors. Created a matching query saving approximately 30 minutes per day over the previous method for tracking work in process. Created a database to track all depot and vendor shipments to monitor operations and to create customs documents that saved hours over the previous manual method.
