Due to my contagious energy, strong work ethic, and the ease with which I can talk to new people, I often find myself thrust into positions of leadership within groups. However, I can't say that I don't love it. Particularly, my skills in making people feel comfortably apply directly to my job as Peer Minister at the Lutheran Student Center at UNL, as well as to my position as Recruitment Chair within my fraternity. I have shifted the way Beta Sigma Psi does recruitment, using my knowledge and instinct of group dynamics to help streamline the process. This adds to my skill of bringing new people into a new organization and helping to make them feel comfortable around multiple complete strangers. On top of this I am easily able to share my energy and help get people excited to do things. One of the projects I am most proud of is using my position as Peer Minister at the Lutheran Student Center to develop the idea and recruit students to assist me in helping provide and make a meal for the Barnabas Community in Lincoln 3 times this past school year before Covid-19. I would like to work in some type of management in the future, and have recently found myself looking much more into hospital management, as I have a passion for using my gifts to help people. Another area that interests me is the real estate world, which I am already partially engaged in through my family.
