I received a bachelors degree in accounting from Brigham Young University. After graduating, I took a job with GE Capital as a member of their Financial Management Program for two years. After graduating from that program, I then spent four and a half years with a subdivision of GE Capital called GE Energy Financial Services, where I held various roles of increasing seniority in financial planning and analysis. During this time I also received my MBA from Columbia University, attending their executive program. I then took a position for two years as the FP&A reporting leader at GE Capital headquarters, where I was involved in enterprise-wide strategy, financial analysis, and external reporting. I then accepted a position as Program Leader within the Enterprise Data Management team of GE Capital, focusing on building better data infrastructure and implementing a new data strategy for the entire firm. After several years in that role I relocated to the Boston area to take a finance leadership role with C&W Services (a division of Cushman & Wakefield), a premier leader in the real estate services industry, where I helped improve financial processes, and led all FP&A and Finance Operations. After two years I've made a change to lead the FP&A and Investor Relations team at Novanta Inc. (NASDAQ: NOVT), a high-tech manufacturing company.My long-term career goal is to become the CFO or COO of a mid-cap company.
