Graduation Alliance is a leading technology-enabled education company that partners with educators, economic development agencies and community leaders across the nation, providing students with versatile pathways to high school graduation and beyond. Under Ray’s leadership the company tripled its revenue, dramatically increased student retention and efficacy, completed the successful acquisition and integration of a leading enterprise technology company for career and college readiness, recruited and retained a top-notch management team, implemented a comprehensive re-branding program, secured millions of dollars of new investment capital while also developing the nation's first Workforce Diploma program. All of these critical foundations for the company’s future growth, and a successful exit.

Built and sold a global education technology company with the demonstrated ability to deliver significant annual revenue and EBITDA growth through challenging economic cycles. Developed and led a strong management team and culture at Certiport, which were foundational in expanding the company’s global channel and delivering exceptional new products and services. Under Ray's leadership, Certiport’s revenue and profit more than doubled; these results were achieved through a focused strategy that resulted in the company diversifying its client and product offering, acquiring a leading competitor, adding innovative value added services, and developing an outstanding global distribution channel, operating in 150 countries. At the time of the sale to Pearson for $140 million, Certiport was the leading global on-demand provider of career preparation certification solutions delivering over 2 million proctored exams annually localized in 27 languages. Its primary markets were education institutions, commercial enterprises and government agencies; its products delivered through an expansive global network of channel partners operating globally; and it was the exclusive development partner and provider of globally accredited foundational certifications for marquee companies including Microsoft, HP, Adobe, Intuit and Autodesk.

Ray was responsible for global revenue at Prometric, the world’s largest testing company at the time. Ray was a key member of the executive team that completed the successful sale of Prometric from the Thomson Corporation (now known as Thomson Reuters) to the non-profit, Educational Testing Service (ETS) in 2007. During Ray's four years at Prometric, he led the company to record revenues and profit margins, and significantly improved customer service levels. Ray was recruited to Prometric in 2005 to head up Global Sales and Marketing. In 2006 he was promoted with the additional responsibility for all client services and industry-oriented business functions. In 2008 Ray was promoted again and given responsibility for sales, account management and program management for all domestic and multinational clients. All revenue generating resources, consulting services, technical sales, pricing/solution development functions and paper-based testing operations within Prometric reported to Ray. While at Prometric he led the integration of the sales, account management and program management functions for all domestic and multinational clients, resulting in improved customer focus, enhanced service levels and increased revenues and profit margins. By 2009 the company had grown to deliver over 7 million professional certification exams in 162 countries annually, and it had 450 clients in the Information Technology, academic, professional, government, healthcare, financial and corporate markets.

Formed a Joint Venture early in 2002 to acquire the assets of ExecuTrain, a leading privately-held corporate training company, with 185 training centers in over 50 countries. Appointed CEO of ExecuTrain by the Joint Venture Board of Directors and successfully implemented a turnaround strategy to increase revenue and profit for this global training company.

Recruited to develop and lead a new Hewlett Packard Retail Industry Organization, with responsibility for sales, marketing, channel management and business development. Recruiting and developing one of the top teams in HP, Ray led the team to over 300% sales growth in less than three years helping the team become HP's leading business unit in 1997.

Joined NCR as a computer science graduate in 1979. Had a very successful career at NCR rising rapidly through the company to become one of the youngest ever VPs, and Team Leader of the company's largest worldwide account. Ray led the team that sold and implemented the world’s largest commercial computer, used to manage Wal-Mart's Inventory Systems.
