Worked both as an employee and independent consultant with a Limited company within dozens of engineer specific roles.Currently engaged in Protection Data Management, sole person manipulating and servicing UKPN protection databases for circa 20,000 sites, 200,000 relays at Grid, Primary and Secondary:>Static data: UKPN's entire companies population of relays and settings held in SAP (asset register)>Real time data: Leveraging settings data in WSOS and import / export to network models of ADMS and DPlan.Currently also leading requirements for a new Protection Data Management System to replace SAP, this will leverage all numerical relay data and other relay types into a common format. Manage, via a frequent guide to all protection staff, updates of all protection systems and reports for SAP (asset register) and ADMS (control diagram).Reveal, debate and resolve issues of CI's and CML's impacted by protection and analyse root causes to those managing policies, planning and quality of supply.Able to manage teams or work independently and successfully to be responsible for projects at all stages: between a conceptual base, strategy, planning, business case, Project Management and implementation. Able to establish a modern, low cost, high performing electricity network by utilising substantial operational and Asset Management experience.
