I am a recent graduate from Simon Fraser University. I have my Bachelor's of Science in Physical Geography - Geoscience and a certificate of Earth Sciences. These courses are contributing towards obtaining my accreditation of Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. What sparked my interest in geography was growing up in a small coastal mountain town. I wanted to learn more about my surroundings and dream to spend every day exploring. I love hiking, skiing and cartography, therefore geography seemed to be the best direction to combine my passions with my education. A career centered around a field position would be an ideal job for me as I enjoy being outdoors and learning. Working at Whistler Blackcomb for three years has prepared me to work long hours in all weather conditions while maintaining a positive, friendly attitude towards guests and my coworkers. Courses I’ve taken at SFU that have increased my interest are river geomorphology, climate systems, GIS and historical geology.
