As an outreach intern at City of Santa Barbara, I apply my urban studies knowledge and communication skills to engage with the community and stakeholders on various sustainability initiatives. I conduct research, analysis, and outreach activities to support the development and implementation of policies and programs that promote environmental, social, and economic well-being. I also leverage my problem solving skills to identify and address challenges and opportunities related to urban planning and development.Previously, I was a peer mentor at California State University, Northridge, where I helped students from diverse backgrounds and majors to succeed academically and personally. I provided guidance, support, and feedback on academic projects, career goals, and personal issues. I also facilitated workshops, events, and activities that fostered a sense of belonging and community among students.I am passionate about urban planning and sustainability, and I aspire to become a professional urban planner who can create livable, equitable, and resilient cities. I completed my degree in urban studies and planning with a focus on sustainability, and I have learned about various topics such as urban design, transportation, housing, land use, climate change, and social justice. I am eager to apply my education and experience to make a positive impact on the urban environment and society.
