I keep all the plates spinning at Inertia - a product design and manufacturing services company, where our mission is to create things that never before existed and which positively impact the world.Starting out as a mechanical engineer, I have worked in automotive manufacturing, learning from the best of the best - Toyota, on how to design and implement true just-in-time pull production manufacturing systems. I have worked my way through the ranks of motorsports from being an entry-level racecar mechanic up to race engineer and competed and won at the highest levels of sport. I have designed and led teams that designed race cars that have competed and won at the 24 hrs of leMans and Daytona as well as designing road cars for the likes of Aston Martin and Dodge Viper. Once I achieved my childhood dream of designing racecars, I still found myself lacking fulfillment which led me to founding my own company where I could instill my personal values and philosophies. I finally realized that it was not WHAT I was doing (ie. racecars) that made me happy but rather HOW I was doing my work and WHO I was working with that really mattered.Since founding Inertia, I have built a team that I am truly proud of and a company culture, systems and processes that are the foundation for high-speed product innovation. We have been fortunate to be involved in some amazing world-first product development projects from battery-electric delivery trucks, to impact-energy absorbing child car seats to low-cost ventillators for resource limited nations.As for the future, I am always looking for ways to scale what we do in our business so that we can reach more people - both customers and collaborators. There is a whole world out there that has people smarter than me, I want to work alongside with them to learn from them and create great things with them.
