Dorchester, Ma

Led an urban school of 320 economically disadvantaged families dedicated to providing first class college preparatory education. The 35 Cristo Rey Network schools have a unique work study model where students are contracted to do corporate work study five times per month for their four years of high school while also taking a rigorous course load which includes mandatory AP classes. Key Results: Secured 1:1 laptop computers for students and faculty via $135,000 in Federal grants. Appropriated Science laboratory equipment for all related courses. Created a positive school culture. Facilitated Mission Effectiveness Review and 5 Year Strategic Plan. Planned year-long PD for technology integration in classrooms.

Fitchburg Public Schools

Led highly successful public alternative high school. Managed the recruitment of students, curriculum review and PD plans for student-centered learning. Coordinated MCAS, PSAT and SAT testing. Reviewed transcripts of students for proper placement and course of study. Key Results: Created partnerships with Mount Wachusett Community College, Fitchburg State University and DCU Bank. Developed a Career Pathways Day to raise student awareness of career possibilities. Co-wrote a grant for $105,000 to renovate school’s science laboratory.

Barre, Ma

Produced a rural high school curriculum changes that resulted in a sound International Baccalaureate Program and Senior Capstone experience. Wrote two year NEASC report. Revised graduation requirements for students to include community service hours. Helped move the school from traditional semester programming to trimester schedule. Helped implement planned International Baccalaureate Program, Capstone Projects for Seniors, Community Service. Key Results: Created a Student Leadership Program and Cultural Exchange Programs with Netherlands and France.

Norton, Ma

Hired and mentored the majority of the teaching staff. District technology team. Teacher Evaluation Committee, RTI Team. Helped develop plans for building and renovation project for Norton High School. Brought in freshman advisory and orientation programs as well as at-risk programs and leadership development.
