Employed as Production Manger. Responsibilities include running of the factory overseeing production of baobab powder as well as oil extraction from the seed, and composting of all by-products. Responsible for the design and implementation of raw product from receiving to packing and storage of the powder ensuring adherence to quality, quantity and safety standards. I ensure compliance with Organic requirements and comprehensive records of all production statistics and quality control. Manage the stock control system liaising with head office in preparation and packaging orders for delivery. Have developed a system for accurate detailed records of stock. Am involved with the planning and development of new processing procedures and planning and construction of the new warehousing and production sheds. Have been part of the HR team writing the Job Descriptions of all staff employed at the factory, and ensuring grading of jobs is correct. Am part of the team developing the HACCP manual and have been responsible for developing all Standard Operating Procedures and policies used at the factory. Factory being put into mothballs due to economic situation hence staff being laid off.

Duty Manager – Responsible for the general running of the Lodge during the shift, which includes checking in or out of guests, receiving payment of their accommodation and extras. Supervising the chefs in the kitchen, ensuring food and presentation to the standard required and serving the guests. Accounting for and restocking the bar during the shift. General security and well being of the Lodge and guests. Some day duty is also being done on week ends, which includes room preparation and supervision of housekeeping staff. Was also involved with menu planning and ordering of groceries.
