At Bunn-O-Matic Corporation, I have worked as a Manufacturing Supervisor for the last 5 years in various departments, including the Fabrication and Weld Line departments. Within these departments, there are multiple units to supervise including lasers, blanking, bending, cutting, and welding. In this role, I am responsible for ensuring the safety of up to 85 employees on the lines and performing safety investigations; assigning daily tasks and responsibilities to employees; meeting and exceeding pre-established production goals; tracking and analyzing productivity data; auditing each unit for ISO compliance; completing daily and weekly payroll; and conducting interviews for open manufacturing positions within my departments. I communicate constantly with plant administration as well as organize and lead daily team meetings with employees for the purpose of reviewing and updating information. I have successfully eliminated injury claims in my supervised departments. I have completed training courses in Lean Manufacturing Methodology related to 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement. I have also completed technical trainings for manufacturing machinery including Large Breaks by Cincinnati Corporation, Fiberoptic Lasers by Mazak, Plasma Lasers by BiStronic, Progressive Presses by Kamatzu, and various welders.

I founded and managed my own company that served as a quality consultant to the automotive industry. My company served as a liaison between tier 1 and tier 2 automotive part suppliers and their automotive assembly plants. I developed a diverse client base and provided services in manufacturing and assembly facilities in multiple locations in Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, traveling extensively to each of these sites. These clients included Ford, Chrysler, General Motors, and Mitsubishi. In this position, I provided manufacturer representation, statistical data collection, and rework and sorting services. As part of my business plan, I did not fill permanent positions of employment, but rather, all positions were filled by temporary employment service companies near various plant locations. I managed a team of up to 50 temporary employees. While temporary workers were assigned to EKS, I was responsible for the safety and actions of my staff in the assembly plant and overseeing their productivity. I provided statistical data reports to both the parts manufacturers and assembly plant staff; orchestrated employment services; and monitored daily production. As a liaison between the two parties, I organized job parameters with both manufacturers and assembly plant engineers. I completed training specific to each part provided by the manufacturers and specialized in steel parts. I also oversaw administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, billing, and payroll.

At Griffco, I oversaw operations in 7 locations including Oklahoma, Delaware, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan and managed a group of supervisors in each location. I would review and compile daily reporting of completed jobs from the supervisors and review time sheets. I also innovated our operation and expanded our market by developing a complete system for a warehouse-based operation from a previous assembly plant-based operation. This required me to secure leases for property and transportation and develop new relationships with manufacturers and assembly plants. I managed the sourcing of necessary equipment and services for the warehouse operations. I served as company representative with the union workforce. This required me to negotiate union contracts and manage union grievances. I also conducted interviews and hiring for supervisor positions.
