I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Illinois and have led the accounting and finance teams for various small, private companies across a variety of industries. In working for small companies, many of which were start-up in nature, I wore several hats. These companies operated in fast-paced environments and required the juggling of various priorities. I strive at being able to handle many projects at once and still meeting deadlines. One of my main strengths is being able to identify inefficiencies and implementing systems, tools, and processes to drive as much efficiency as possible. I am very detail oriented, reliable and thrive in many work environments and department structures. Previous to my roles in accounting, I began my professional career in real estate. I started as an underwriter evaluating residential loans for individuals. I then moved into a role as a commercial underwriter evaluating loans for owners of residential buildings consisting of 5 units or more. Working in the real estate industry broadened my perspective on what it means to own and operate a business. When I'm not working you can find me rock climbing in one of the various Chicago gyms or going on an outside climbing trip to Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, or Colorado. I also enjoy taking a weekend bike ride and playing disc golf.
