I started my career at Sandia National Laboratories Risk and Reliability group, supporting U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) Advanced Reactor PRA research program. I later joined severe accident analysis group, conducting accident source term and consequence analyses. I was involved in the development and maintenance of severe accident code, MELCOR. I also supported U.S NRC' State-of-the-Art Reactor Consequence Analyses (SOARCA, NUREG/CR-7110) using MELCOR and MACCS2. Currently, I work as a Sr. Safety Assessment Specialist at United Arab Emirates Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR), a regulatory body of UAE nuclear energy program. I am primarily involved in the review of licensing materials related to severe accidents. I also support an inspection unit as well as the development of regulation and regulatory guides as needed.
