Primary project was an app that allowed YouTube content creators to share analytics data with our backend, which then triggered downstream processes to determine pricing for content creators’ channels based off of anticipated future ad revenue. Built a robust, cloud-native web solution on GCP (Google Cloud Platform) from scratch. Original project was an external-facing website and then later evolved into a custom CRM/ERP system. Application facets included payroll, sales commission calculations, expense management, digital document generation/signing, inventory management, project management, sales metrics, employee onboarding processes, and a few other tools specific to the solar industry. Created a native iOS app with geospatial functionality that helped sales reps manage their door-to-door knocking process, meeting attendance, consumer insights via a third-party vendor, personal metrics, and relationship management between appointment setters and sales reps. Built a custom, admin-accessible boolean algebra formula system. Formula system allowed pricing, closing docs, commissions, surcharges, and other components to be specific to certain states, counties, zip codes, regional offices, loan origination sources, etc. Leveraged automated incoming and outgoing SMS/MMS functionality to streamline company business processes and improve employee and customer engagement. Built dashboard systems with raspberry PIs for large-screen display at the office, showing weekly and monthly goal progresses and achievements. Trained and mentored junior developers (between 1-2 direct reports at a time), took sincere enthusiasm in growing talent and helping springboard career success. Enjoyed my stay at a collaboration SaaS with a unique product offering. Successfully contributed to the target goal of upgrading the existing solutions rather than having to do a from-scratch rewrite of the whole platform. Built both new tools and upgraded legacy tools into modern, AJAX-driven applications with auto refresh functionality. Primary project ownership included a tool called GME Discussion 2.0, which was an app that operated similarly to an enterprise version of a reddit thread with auto refresh, star ratings, comments, and comment promotion. After several rounds of careful performance improvements and engineering feats, the tool operated lightning-fast (more than 700-900 concurrent users) on a single commodity VPS without distributed servers/load balancing, saving the company a considerable amount of money on cloud costs. Other projects included a data grid/spreadsheet tool and a metamorphosis of a survey tool that evolved into an eLearning platform used by a prominent Northern California University. Worked tirelessly to resolve historically difficult browser cross-compatibility issues (including IE6 support, released in 2001, still deployed on workstations with a government agency client).
