Commercial development work primarily involves acting for landowners, promoters and housebuilders drafting and negotiating arrangements for site acquisition and disposal on both fixed and variable price terms, promotion agreements, hybrid agreements and conditional contracts. I also advise on consumer credit, regulatory investigations, shared equity lending, consumer protection and regulatory matters generally as well as the recent growth in public/private initiatives to encourage growth in the housing market and matters connected with secured lending. Extensive experience in applying the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations in the retirement housing sector.
