Raymond R. Rackley, Duke BME'84, CWRU MD'89, serves as a Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the Center for Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute. During his Cleveland Clinic tenure as a surgeon-scientist-educator-innovator in pelvic health, he has served as the past Director of the Section of Female Urology & Neurourology and the Fellowship Program, the Director of the Lerner Research Institute’s Urothelial Molecular Biology Laboratory and on the Executive Council for the Society of Urodynamics and Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction. In addition to his clinical and basic science interests as the senior surgical consulting partner of the Section, he is a healthcare consumer technology, medical device and pharmacotherapy professional with a wide array of commercialization experience while serving as the managing venture partner of Serial Stage Ventures Partners - see separate Linkedin Biograph. After receiving his Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Rackley completed his urology residency, as well as, fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in 1997- where he and his colleagues have contributed to the Clinic’s Glickman Urological Institute’s development as the premier international leader in urological care, education and research. Dr. Rackley has published over 200 scientific peer-reviewed articles and scientific works, serves as an international speaker and consultant on Female Pelvic and Neuro-Urology subspecialty care issues and provides world-wide virtual visits and triage electronic consultations for people seeking consultative opinions for complex female pelvic surgical reconstructions, neuro-urological therapies and in-depth curative care-path therapies or triage arrangements for Interstitial Cystitis.
