Managed core R&D projects for the development of new industry leading friction materials for OE and OES brake pads. Main duties included liaising with customers to create detailed designs and specifications, materials formulating, prototype testing, and technology transfer. Also supported production teams by optimising manufacturing processes through DoE methodology.

Sheffield, United Kingdom

Commissioned and ran a pilot plant electrochemical FFC reactor to produce titanium, tantalum and metal alloy powders. Optimised molten salt electrolyte composition, selected suitable anode materials, designed cathode arrangements and defined operational process parameters. Also managed R&D projects for metal powder production in 0.4-ton scale electrochemical cells to generate data to scale up and run the FFC process in a two-ton semi-continuous production reactor.
