During my time working as a courtesy clerk, my job consisted of assisting customers in bagging their groceries and helping to provide exceptional customer service by answering any questions customers may have and pointing them in the right direction. Furthermore, my job included helping complete general tasks such as stocking and cleaning throughout the store.

I helped draft press releases and media advisories. I also created weekly media roundups and newsletters and contributed to developing social media content for the Governor and Lt. Governor's social media accounts.

In this role, I co-lead a small group of writing interns to create daily Veteran of the Day articles. I serve as a resource for writing interns and answer any questions or concerns they may have. I helped Implement new training methodologies to help onboard new writing interns.

I helped with moderating the Trello project board for Veteran of the Day write-ups. I also conducted quality control checks for 13 writing interns and ensured that the AP style guide is being followed.

Responsibilities include writing Veteran of the Day posts for the Department of Veterans Affairs' VAntage Point website, as well as articles informing Veterans of the resources available to them.

As a legislative intern with Sen. Greg Clausen, I helped create clear and concisecommunications that improved his constituents’ knowledgeability and connection with Sen. Clausen’swork. I also researched current legislative bills and drafted memos.
