Heartland Bank Australia Limited is a digital bank formed after the acquisition of Challenger Bank Limited. The role encompassed running operations for the bank, and holding regulatory accountability and acting as Responsible Manager under AFSL and ACL licenses, with significant involvement in strategic alignment, business transformations and building centres of excellence.

The Challenger Group Strategy division is responsible for developing overall corporate strategy including the annual strategic planning process, formation and execution of business plans in partnership with business units, and M&A activity. As Senior Manager, I participated and managed various aspects of the division's deliverables.

The Portfolio Control department performs administrative functions for Challenger’s fund managers, with responsibility for cash reconciliations, unit pricing, fee calculations and relationships management. Highly effective people manager and led the restructure of portfolio control team. Transformed unit pricing, management fees and performance fee calculations to automated processes, built system to ensure accurate book of record by implementing controls including reconciliations and systems flows, and established a compliant system for bank account and payment instructions. Lead stakeholder with core systems IT, front office fund managers and other investment operations teams

The Investment Analytics department is responsible for the accurate reporting of performance returns and attribution for Challenger’s funds and their fund managers’ separately managed accounts. Highly active manager of performance reporting operations staff, subject matter and technical expert on performance reporting methodology and lead stakeholder for third parties including vendor contract negotiations on new systems.

JPM Worldwide Securities Services is a custodial service provider servicing global clients, providing fund administration services including compliance and performance reporting, settlements, accounting, etc. The Performance and Risk Analytics team is responsible for manager-level, sector-level and investment option level returns for institutional clients. Led team restructure, and highly active people manager. Lead stakeholder on projects and product development - achievements include implementation of ex-ante risk reporting and rollout of new performance system.

Lead projects and products analyst and joint product owner for implementations involving international teams located in the US and UK. Implemented complex performance reporting products such as fixed income attribution, value at risk reporting. Subject matter expert on multiple aspects of performance and securities analysis, including post tax reporting, characteristics reporting, portfolio optimisation, classification hierarchies and static data.

Equities marketing analyst to institutional clients in the Pan-European region. The team was responsible for sell-side analysis coverage, client marketing, and corporate engagement.

Provided joint coverage and analytical support to the lead equities analyst on the Pan-European Building Materials sector, including idea generation, report preparation, client marketing and internal sales communications.

Provided analytical support to the Strategic Projects team, conducting building materials sector M&A and competitor analysis. The team was responsible for the development and execution of strategic initiatives and M&A, including initially the defense and subsequently the acceptance of a competitor takeover offer.

The Ernst & Young audit services team conducts financial statement audits on various industries producing audit opinion and controls reports. I conducted external audit engagements on companies in the manufacturing sector.
