Responsible for the development of new and/or improvements to existing claims business applications; analyzes business needs, industry trends, and best practices. Serves as a subject matter expert on projects while partnering with IT to develop and/or update system requirements, communications, and workflow processes.• Responsible for defining and executing Amica's Claims Business Intelligence strategy while assisting in the management of technology functions.• Prioritize requirements, schedule tasks and communicate progress for projects.• Lead and coordinate training needs for report developers, data analysts and other technical personnel.• Identify business resources, support personnel, and consultants for assigned projects.• Creates and maintains development standards and best practices.• Acts as business liaison with CIS, Claims Managers and vendor development teams.• Works in conjunction with CIS to develop user requirements of Claims business initiatives.• Provides direction in the development of user training.• Leads the evaluation of existing and emerging technologies and provides recommendations for selection based on benefits to Claims.• Responsible for performance, development, and coaching of staff (i.e., hiring, firing, performance, salary increases, etc.).

Oversees the extraction and manipulation of data from various sources and utilizes business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy to present data to users.
