Tulsa, Oklahoma, Us

Inceed, LLC IT Developer III November 2021 to October 2024 (Part #1)Resigned my position at Commerce Bank in Oct 2021 to become fully remote and accepted a contractor position at Inceed, LLC three days later • Member of 5 person team at Bank of Oklahoma responsible for upgrading the legacy (25 years old) TrustNet application from classic ASP to modern C# .Net applications • The TrustNet application is used to track, manage and maintain all customer trust, wealth and investment accounts • Completed conversion of the first two programs performing ETL of Schwab customer data into the new database structure. Rather than have separate programs for each task, now use one program for all tasks, and use NInject to dynamically inject behavior (one class per task) via class name (strategy pattern) which is listed as a property in the app config file • Converted a legacy VB6 Gatekeeper application to modern C# in order to consolidate customer cash activity into output files for other BOKF groups to consume (e.g. Accounting/General Ledger) • Authored (and now maintain) many SQL Server SSIS packages to perform ETL of data from the new FIS/GlobalPlus database to the TrustNet/CoreBDW database • Due to security concerns for sending internal BOKF emails directly from SQL Server, authored a Windows Service to replace that process • To send customer transaction data to an external company STP (which calculates performance of customer accounts), assisted in converting and authoring 33 VIEWs and 32 SPROCs (Stored Procedures) to process data directly from the new FIS/GlobalPlus database • Authored and maintain many complex automated processing jobs in AWA (Automic Workflow Automation)A contractor AWA expert created a templating process to make running AWA jobs easier but left out CONSOLE applications. I created a Console Template to make running EXE jobs easier

Inceed, LLC IT Developer III November 2021 to October 2024 (Part #2) • Authored a C# console application to validate incoming GI files and third-party files according to many complex rules, and either send on to various BOKF departments if valid, or place into a reject folder • Authored a C# console application to process incoming FEE GL files, and convert and consolidate the data by adding summary transaction data, and then send to FIS • Converted and authored SPROCs to perform output of data for client delivery to customers: OK Treasury - Regis - Longview - Insignis - Integris - Bloomberg - Lexis-Nexus • Authored 3 SPROCs and processes to send data for account balance information, account activity information and daily positions information to our customer CITI • Converted a process used to send customer/user login data to the XSP-ETRAN group at FIS. Process compares accounts from day to day and outputs records showing new users, deleted users, and modified users. Converted the output from XML to CSV records • After all project development was finished, verified and validated through QA, assisted in migrating all new code and processes into the PROD environment. • Assisted with solving and fixing issues that were fallout from the PROD conversion

It Developer Iii

Kansas City, Mo, Us

Commerce Bank (Part 2) IT Developer III Dec 2019 to Oct 2021 • After being full-time for 10 months, was promoted to IT Developer III in December 2019 • Member of 10 person team at Commerce Bank responsible for supporting various retail accounts, commercial accounts and invoice processing accounts • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing software supporting those customers in the realms of data entry for all check transactions, high-speed scanning of all check/invoice/correspondence paperwork for those transactions, data storage, scanned image storage, data file movement and transmissions, data validation, data verification, and account balancing • Routinely perform emergency on-call duties for the Wholesale Lockbox and Retail Lockbox processig environments • Support and Maintain Java/Spring/Spring Boot applications for our Account Analysis department • Pioneered a new framework and methodology in the Web Extract Utility such that for any and all future SIMPLE customer extracts, the appropriate “behavior” is injected through reflection such that the format of the extract is all driven via parameterized values from database table entries. Thus, no actual additional code needs to be written • Authored a Windows Service to automatically detect errors and alert operators when a data file created by the high speed scanners get momentarily interrupted, and generates a corrupt file. Operators are now alerted within minutes, rather than finding out hours later • Authored a Windows Service to detect "negative seconds" interval errors resulting from anomalies during operators performing data entry for checks and invoices. Windows service also fixes those errors, so that the "audit reports" won't crash, and the daily "Image Cash Letter" (ICL) file creation won't crash • Maintained the Classic ASP (VBSCript) Incentive Plan web application. Added ability to perform profuse real-time logging to have visibility into database activity

It Developer Ii

Kansas City, Mo, Us

Commerce Bank (Part 1) IT Developer II February 2019 to Dec 2019Converted to become full-time at Commerce Bank • Member of 10 person team at Commerce Bank responsible for supporting various retail accounts, commercial accounts and invoice processing accounts • After being full-time for 10 months, was promoted to IT Developer III in December 2019 • Authored a massive Windows Service to process a brand-new “utilities” vendor – our largest Lockbox customer to date. It processes and manages all scanning activity and data transactions that are sent to our data processing vendor and keeps them from being overloaded. It process all DSS returns transactions sent back to us by the Fed, and send them to the Lockbox customer for processing. It also alerts us to error files resulting from bad scans. This service has been running quietly for two years with ZERO errors. • Repaired a utility that sends transactions to a “customer online lookup portal”. If an operator had made a mistake in deleting checks versus invoices in the scanning system – my repair automatically detects and fixes the “orphan record” condition, thus instantly fixing the problem rather than spending hours manually fixing it through an emergency configuration change process • Modified an existing web application named the Remit Connect Fast Add Tool, which was mostly "spaghetti code", with many cumbersome "if/else" statements. I parameterized the app, and cut the amount of code in half. Also removed the hard-coded paths and hard-coded connection string credentials, and now use the LSD Utility library I authored. All encrypted credentials and app parameters are now contained in the config file for easy access based upon the platform in which it is running

Oct 2014 - Jun 2017

It Consultant

Kansas City, Mo, Us

Member of a 18 person team at a national company providing health services to employers and insurance companiesSecond Role included ASP.NET/C#, MVC5, JQuery, Windows Communications Foundation (WCF) Services, Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ), Redis Cache, SQL Server 2008. Role involved:• Coded a new process to create a secondary/related customer order affiliated with the primary order, send this affiliated order to an embedded, internal back-end application and database via layered MSMQ and WCF services, then report results back to the portal• The head architect then asked me to determine what could be done to make the web portal more efficient and faster• Within 10 minutes I discovered that with every single button click to perform an action, the Web tier makes 11 calls through the App tier to actually query the database, to determine who you are, along with your roles and permissions, for authorization• I coded a new App Tier Caching methodology (using Redis Cache), such that the user / role / permission information is cached in the App tier to eliminate querying the database each time• This new solution, wherein I modified 214 C# files, brought the overall load on the portal, produced by these processes, from 3.2% down to 0.5%. This is verified by statistical reports from the Stackify software• For the previous VB6 team, I took the old .NET 2.0 job scheduling service, and its administrative website, and converted everything to the latest ASP.NET 4.6 environment, and enabled it to be coded and built using Visual Studio 2015.• I created 6 brand-new Windows 2012 Server virtual machines to implement this new Scheduling software: (a) DEV; (b) QA; (c) RELEASE; (d) and 3 PROD servers. I deployed the new Scheduling software to each of these new Windows 2012 server environments, to take advantage of the new .NET/server technology.• Created a new "reflection based Object Dumper" to troubleshoot how various objects were causing the PROD Portal to crash each day

Member of a 18 person team at a national company providing health services to employers and insurance companiesFirst role included VB6 and SQL Server 2008. Role involved:• Originally hired to fulfill a fixed-end, 3-month Visual Basic 6 (VB6) contract to support converting a new client on to their data processing system• Finished the 3 projects/tasks in 2 weeks. They scrambled to find me more work to do to fill out the remainder of the 3 months• Repaired a VB6 process that was hanging and requiring the servers to reboot every morning.• Repaired a SQL Server stored procedure (for frequent updates to state sales tax information) which queried an Oracle database using embedded PL/SQL. Had to loop through the Oracle recordset due to a bug introduced with a Oracle driver update that limited the records produced by a linked query• Authored process to create XML file indexes for PDF file bundles containing signature images.• Helped derive a solution to batch create PDF files on servers, using custom software, due to prohibitively expensive Adobe licensing costs• The VB6 department only had one development workstation to develop a C#/.NET v2.0 Job Scheduling Service, along with its accompanying administrative web site, using Visual Studio 2005 (this was due to switching employee laptops to Windows 7). Created a work-around via a Windows XP Mode Virtual Machine such that any of the newer Win7 laptops could continue development for this .NET Service/Website• I completed 31 additional projects in the next 5 months, including tasks, projects and bugs that had lingered for up to 3 years• At this point, they did not want to let me go. They transferred me to their high-tech ASP.NET external web portal team
