Reporting to the Chief People Officer, I was charged with building a learning and development function to meet the needs of the Broad community, which includes Harvard and MIT faculty, PhD-level bench and computational scientists, software engineers, trainees, and a diverse range of scientific and administrative staff. • Over four years, we advanced an innovative approach to learning at work that focused on enabling individuals to develop the technical and professional skills and networks needed to thrive in their role and career as well as to excel in the Broad's unique collaborative ecosystem.• Served as HR Partner and Organizational Effectiveness Lead overseeing the HR Partner team (3 FTE) while building out the Broad’s People Development function (5 FTE), including a wide range of in-person, blended and virtual learning programs for individuals, teams and key constituencies. Also managed our Diversity and Inclusion team on an interim basis (1 FTE). • Key achievements include the creation of a suite of career development resources, including multiple intensive career programs, a weekly career coaching clinic (over 500 participants to date), career pathing videos and ~20 professional and identity-based peer affinity groups/partnered programs; the design and launch of Broad’s first leadership development program for academic faculty and senior scientists (now the Institute’s flagship program) and later adapted to support scientific project leaders; the identification, integration and launch of Broad’s online learning system, MyLearning, along with hundreds of Broad-designed learning modules (e.g., microlearning, seminars).

Reporting to the FAS Dean for Faculty Affairs and Planning, I was responsible for a broad portfolio related to Harvard College, including fiduciary and appointment cognizance for non-ladder faculty teaching in the College, the Harvard College Writing Program, the Freshman Seminar Program, and the Committee on Australian Studies. I also held responsibility for endowed professorships, the appointment of Allston Burr House Deans, and staffed a range of faculty-led initiatives, including the President’s Innovation Fund for International Experiences and the review and reimagining of the Harvard College Program in General Education.
