Assisted local and offshore teams in maintaining a WPF line of business application and it's associated WCF services. Lead the development effort in migrating a third party client facing application to consuming these services from Message Broker services. Assisted in the development of queue based data exchange between different business components.Lead in the development of an MVC application that displayed a member's incentive data, reward status, etc. This information was originally presented in the LOB application mentioned above, however it was not presented in a way that matched what members would see. Members would be incentive rewards for any activity that they did (losing weight, seeing the doctor, Fitbit tracking, etc) and all of this data was being pulled each time a chart was loaded. By breaking this out into a separate application, we were able to speed up chart loads by over 50% (based on performance tests). Along with improving the clinicians' ability to accurately service customer incentive needs, the performance boost saved a struggling performance improvement project.

Compliance Application Management System - (ASP.Net MVC 3, JQuery, JQueryUI, Sql Server 2008)I designed a web application for our compliance department to improve the efficiency of our order auditing process. Before the application was built, this was a very "Excel" driven process. I worked directly with the client to gather requirements (through discussions and UATs) and delivered the application iteratively. One of CAMS major successes was being able to create a checklist engine to replace a pencil and paper order review process. We built a workflow for processing our audits that was built off of the decisions we would receive from an auditor. CAMS helped the department met the increased demands of Medicare while requiring fewer resources. Furthermore, it granted new data mining opportunities to quantify productivity and determine what types of arguments resulted in successful verdicts from each auditing entity.Patient Portal - (ASP.Net MVC 2, JQuery, ITextSharp, WCF, Sql Server 2008)I modified a public facing portal for our patients to allow them to order their products online. I wrote a simple shopping cart that was used when the patient selected products that they were eligible for. When the patient was ready to checkout, they would be presented with the contents of the cart and the insurance information we had available. Assuming everything looked good, the patient could submit the order into our order generator process without having to call an agent. The patient could then take an optional contact preferences survey. I added the ability for a patient to view a pdf version of their billing statement when it was available. An existing statement process would generate statement xml that I bound to a pdf template using ITextSharp. We could then serve that up to the patient.
