With over 15 years of experience in the education sector, I am passionate about developing and supporting diverse and culturally competent educators who can drive positive outcomes for students and communities. As the Chief Talent Officer at the Pennsylvania Department of Education, I lead the strategic vision and implementation of talent management initiatives across the state, with a focus on equity, inclusion, and social justice.Previously, I served as the Executive Director at Urban Teachers, a national organization that prepares and places effective and resilient teachers in high-need schools. In this role, I oversaw the recruitment, retention, and support of over 200 teachers in Philadelphia, collaborating with local partners, funders, and stakeholders to ensure program quality and alignment with community needs. I also led the anti-racist group and equity driven efforts of the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement among staff and teachers. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where I am deepening my knowledge and skills in educational leadership, policy, and innovation.
