Assisting recruiters and office clerks. Duties included recruiting Census Taker applicants for the 2020 Census. I helped to educate people on how important the Census is for communities and funding. I planned events and set up tables with materials. I answered questions that applicants had while they were completing their online job application for the 2020 U.S. Census. I traveled to numerous cities in Virginia communities to assist with recruiting efforts in areas where applicant numbers were low. I gave impromptu presentations and met with community leaders, employment agencies and other groups to promote census employment opportunities and recruit local residents. As a Census Response Representative, I assisted in the Census Questionnaire Assistance (CQA) operation. I also contacted and assisted respondents who needed to complete their 2020 census questionnaires over the phone and answered specific questions about the 2020 census questionnaire. I assisted in the Quality Control operation in reviewing the accuracy of the information, which contained Personally Identifiable Information before transporting it back to the Area Census Office (ACO) for further review by the ACO. As a Census Response Representative, I assisted in the Mobile Questionnaire Assistance (MQA) operation, and I assisted in staffing events at MQA sites to help respondents complete the 2020 census questionnaire for their households. I provided information on the importance of the 2020 census and explained the benefits of responding to the 2020 census to respondents. I set up booths at events in order to spread the word to citizens on the importance of filling out their census questionnaire response forms. I handed out materials to respondents who visited the booths.
