I built a team to democratize data by making data easy to find, access, understand, and analyze. My team partnered closely with data engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional data analysts to ensure data is accurate, secure, compliant, and easy to use. I started the data management, data governance, data access, data catalog, and data modeling teams and initiatives.

I've been fortunate to have great mentors in my career. To pay it forward, I mentored data analytics and data science students while they completed Thinkful's certification. I helped students work through challenging technical exercises, prep for interviews, and land life-changing jobs.

Leveraged clickstream data in the NFL's new AWS data lake to join disparate data sets and discover insight about Game Pass users. Ran experiments based on our findings, measured the impact, and ultimately maximized conversion rates.

Expanding data consulting capabilities for established UX/UI/development firm by leveraging Interactive Labs' successful design expertise. Bringing the user-focused methodology of UX design to data analytics in order to deliver insight in the most consumable and actionable way.

Organized and Lead a Master Data Management discovery project with UX designers following design thinking methodology. Taught workshops on MDM maturity model assessment following Gartner's maturity model. Led workshops on the Rings of Information Governance and applied that to identifying Critical Data Elements for the new enterprise-wide Product Master. Conducted interviews, synthesized findings and presented to leadership and EMDM team to help drive the solution for the new Product Master and Vendor Master. Leveraged Orchestra Networks (TIBCO) EMDM software to build the new Product Master. Lead workshops on machine learning and how that could be used in our solution.

I built the architecture and infrastructure for the enterprise data hub used for internal analytics at Honeywell. This actionable insight system and team are also being used now for external analytics in the new Honeywell Industrial Analytics business entity. A few other accomplishments worth noting...•Evaluated and tested data integration tools like Airflow, Nifi, Hortonworks Data Flow, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, SAP Data Services, and Talend. •Compared cloud provider offerings from AWS and Azure with internal Honeywell cloud offerings, especially around security capabilities.•Tested Hortonworks, HDInsight, and Cloudera big data offerings•Designed docker containers for deploying the enterprise data hub and data science lab environments. •Worked closely with Data Governance teams to implement and integrate Collibra and Apache Atlas.•Six Sigma Green Belt certified.

I designed the architecture and built the Big Data Analytics technology stack at TE. I designed and implemented data management solutions using world class ETL tools like Informatica's PowerCenter suite, Data Exchange (DX), Data Transformation (DT), and others. I managed a team of consultants, each working on different projects in different industries. I also managed Eccella's engagements with Informatica and directly with customers.Some projects I've completed:-Big Data Transformation solution utilizing technologies like Hadoop, Cloudera, HParser, and Informatica to parse and analyze data from millions of video game consoles worldwide. End result: Sony is able to consolidate terabytes of data for data analysis and business intelligence by having instant access to log data that used to take weeks.-Data integration solution which gathers data from over 160 health care sites nationwide, transforms data, then loads an Enterprise Data Warehouse. End result: Thousands of lives saved from EDW and algorithms that prevent the spreading of highly infectious diseases.-Rebuilt operational data system for large pharmaceutical and contact lens companies. Converted egate ETL code to Informatica, loading PeopleSoft and internal tables with EDI data and various other data. Massive B2B system utilizing Informatica's DX, DT, MFT, and PowerCenter tools. Also developed the new data engineering platform when this company was acquired for over $8 billion.-Jet engine data parsing solution to convert unstructured engine test data into CSVs for internal integration.Certified Specialist in Informatica B2B DataExchange (DX)

Customized and configured ETL for many different clients.

Developed an internal tool for ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) to seamlessly transfer data between databases. I also developed another tool called ETL Connect which worked with Partner systems, such as CTI, JDE, AMSI, ESITE, and older versions of Yardi's Voyager, to export data from their system into a format that could be easily imported via Yardi's ETL. While in this position I interviewed, hired, and trained new employees on my ETL team. I managed builds, plug-in releases, and hotfixes for our in-house ETL software, each capable of running on SQL Server and Oracle databases.

I sat on the Associated Students Legislative Council and worked on various projects to benefit students. One of my greatest accomplishments in this position was the successful raising of funds and implementation of skateboarding lanes on campus. This innovative concept allowed skateboarding to remain a legal means of transportation on campus while increasing safety for both skateboarders and pedestrians. 13+ years later and these skateboarding lanes remain. As far as I know, UCSB is the only university in the U.S. (and possibly the world) that has skateboarding lanes.
