Helped the iOS team and server team to troubleshoot deep architectural and performance issues.Lead the effort on exploring WebRTC. Oversaw the design and construction of the next-gen voice-over-IP platform (code named Calliope).

Jarvus is a social networking app based on sharing photos, memes, and comments.The backend stack of Jarvus was developed in Python and Django framework. The iOS app was developed using Xcode and Objective C. We implemented the photo filters using OpenGL ES, to take advantage of the high performance media rendering capability on modern smartphones.We deployed the backend components on Amazon AWS, including EC2 cloud servers, RDS hosted MySQL database, S3 scalable storage, CloudWatch monitoring and alerting services.Javus was acquired by TextPlus Inc. in 2012.

WhichSchool.com provides parents and home buyers information on school performance, demographics and community based on the address they provide.WhichSchool.com processes data feeds published by the federal and local governments, such as United States Geology Survey (USGS), California Department of Education (CA DoE), Data.gov, and USA.gov.We used Python, GeoDjango, and PostGIS to process and store spatial and geological information. We also wrote custom tools for manipulating geological data in ArcGIS format, and for manually editing of school boundaries interactively in the browser.

As a coder, I made significant contribution to the development of our core products in Java and C++.As the Operation Manager, I built the in-house hosting service from scratch, helping Ebix CRM to transition from a pure software vendor to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider.
